Recipe from Food Network
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan
- 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 4 bone-in pork chops, each about 3/4 inch thick (about 2 1/4 pounds total)
- Lemon wedges, optional
Method
- Heat the oven to 450°F.
- In a large resealable bag, combine the panko, oil, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and 3/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper.
- Moisten the pork chops with 1 tablespoon water. Add them to the bag, shake to coat, and press the crumbs firmly onto the meat.
- Set the chops on a wire rack over a baking sheet and distribute any remaining crumbs over them.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the coating is deeply golden and the chops reach 145°F internally away from the bone. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
