Recipe from Food Network
Ingredients
- 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon fine salt
- 1.5 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
- 0.75 cup packed light brown sugar
- 0.67 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- One 12-ounce bag semisweet chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F with racks positioned in top and bottom thirds. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. In a separate bowl, beat butter and both sugars until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Add eggs individually, then vanilla. Mix in flour mixture, then stir in chocolate chips.
- Scoop 12 heaping tablespoons per sheet, about 2 inches apart. Roll into balls with slightly wet hands. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden but soft inside, rotating sheets halfway through.
- Cool briefly on sheets, then transfer to cooling rack.
- Repeat with remaining dough after baking sheet cools completely.
- Store in airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
